Museum of Berkshire Aviation   
Berkshire’s dynamic contribution to aviation history is graphically recaptured at the Woodley Museum. Run as a charitable trust, the museum is at the historic site of Woodley airfield, near Reading..


Museum of English Rural Life   
Founded by the University of Reading in 1951, the Museum records the changing face of English farming and the countryside.


REME Museum of Technology   
The Corps of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Museum of Technology is home to displays on military and trade training chronicling the corps’ role in ’keeping the punch in the army’s fist’.


Reading Abbey   
Most of the buildings that made up Reading Abbey, whose 30-acre site dominated the town from 1121 to its dissolution by Henry VIII in 1539, now lie in impressive ruins.


River & Rowing Museum   
Set on the banks of the River Thames in Henley-on-Thames, the stunning River & Rowing Museum has three galleries devoted to the River Thames, the international sport of rowing and the town of Henley.


River Thames   
This stretch of the Thames is particularly popular as the views of Windsor and the castle are spectacular. There are many boat trips available which range from half an hour to two hours in length. These can be taken from the Barry Avenue Promenade.


Royal County of Berkshire Racquets and Health Club   
The Royal Berkshire Club is an exclusive health centre that offers a wealth of activities.


Royal Windsor Racecourse   
The racecourse at Windsor is located just outside the town and is in the form of a figure eight. The course is just over a mile and a half long and the last five furlongs are straight.


Saint Mary’s Church   
This tiny Berkshire parish church is home to the ‘Aldworth Giants’, statues of the De La Beche family dating back to the 14th Century. These reclining figures are considered to be some of the best collections of effigial monuments in the country.


Sir Christopher Wren’s House   
Sir Christopher Wren’s House in Windsor was both designed and inhabited by the famous architect who chose to build the house in a prime location overlooking the Thames and with a view of Windsor Castle.
