Lloyds Signal Station   
Before the development of telephones and other modern communications, the Lloyds station two miles east of Lizard point was the first means of rapidly transmitting information about shipping movements to London and other mercantile centres via a chain of similar telegraphs spaced through the country.


Loe Bar   
The River Cober flows through Helston and empties into The Loe, a large lake just west of the town. This is separated from the sea by a wide bank of soft, white sand – Loe Bar.


Marconi Huts   
These huts, seen here with the Lizard lighthouse in the background appear rather ordinary but achieved fame in 1901 because they were involved in the first long distance wireless transmission trials over the 198 miles from the Isle of Wight.


Merry Maidens Stone Circle   
Restored in the 1860s, this 23.8-metre stone circle is Cornwall’s pride and joy. Each of the nineteen stones, which represent maidens that were turned to stone according to tradition, is around a metre high and spaced at regular intervals.


Mount Edgcumbe House & Country Park   
Former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe. A Tudor house restored after the war furnished with family treasures. Feature exhibitions in the house and a programme of special events. Stunning views from the Earls garden (18th century) with ancient trees and classical features, to Plymouth Sound and beyond.


Museum of Witchcraft   
The Museum of Witchcraft houses the world’s largest collection of witchcraft related artefacts and regalia. The museum is 50 years old and has been in Boscastle since 1960. It is one of Cornwall’s most popular museums..


National Maritime Museum Cornwall   
If you’re looking for guaranteed entertainment for all the family, come rain or shine, then the National Martime Museum Cornwall has it all.


Newquay Zoo   
Amongst exotic lakeside gardens live hundreds of animals from rare monkeys to shy red pandas. Explore the rainforest in the tropical house and discover Sloths, reptiles and much more. Look out for the Meerkats, Penguins, Lions and glimpse the strange and endangered Lemurs and Fossa.


North Cornwall Museum & Gallery   
Opened in 1974, this privately owned museum is set in a building that was originally used for making coaches and wagons. The museum covers many aspects of life in North Cornwall from fifty to a hundred years ago. These include farming, the dairy, cidermaking and wagons.


Old Town Church   
Old Town lies on the south side of St. Mary’s, about half a mile from Hugh Town, the main settlement. Here can be found Old Town church, It is a long established church with the date 1662 carved over one door, although refurbished in 1891.
