The Riviera International Centre

The Valiant Soldier Museum & Heritage Centre

Torcross Memorial Tank   
The small village of Torcross is located at the southern end of Slapton Sands. Adjacent to the car park is a memorial Sherman tank. Villagers were evacuated when Slapton Sands was used by the Americans to rehearse for the Normandy landings in 1944.


Torquay Museum   
The fine building that houses Torquay Museum was built in 1874 and is a piece of Victorian antiquity itself. Step inside however and you will discover even more tempting delights. Torre Abbey   
Torre Abbey is the oldest building in Torquay, dating back to 1196. The Cary family remodelled it as a Georgian mansion during the 18th century, though many of the original walls remain.
