Abbey Grounds
This beautiful area of parkland is situated behind the St John the Baptist Church. It is an ideal park to walk in – you can walk round and see all the park has to offer in an afternoon.

Barnsley House Gardens
The garden at Barnsley House is enchanting, one of England’s finest and most famous. Not grand or forbidding, this is a place where you can truly relax, with charming walks, sunny terraces and knot gardens, beautifully ornate formal lawns, ancient meadows and ungoverned wilderness.

Berkeley Butterfly House
Be transported to another world where hundreds of butterflies dart around their tropical home. With forty-two different species at the farm, this is a great chance to see rare and imported species from as far a field as Japan and Indonesia.

Berkeley Castle
Built to withstand the Welsh in the twelfth century, Berkeley Castle has a turbulent past. The fortress and the Berkeley family, its lifelong owners, have witnessed countless historical events from the first American Thanksgiving back to the murder of King Edward II by red hot poker.

Bibury Trout Farm
Bibury Trout Farm is one of the oldest – founded in 1902 – and certainly the most attractive trout farm in the country. Primarily a working farm breeding and rearing high quality trout for restocking angling waters it has welcomed visitors since 1965.

Blackfriars
This is the most complete medieval Dominican priory surviving in England. After the friary was dissolved in 1538, the buildings were bought by a prosperous clothmaker called Thomas Bell. He converted the church into a house and used the rest as a factory.

Brewery Arts Centre
The Brewery Arts and Crafts Centre is a gallery for beautiful and contemporary art and craft exhibitions. It is located in the centre of Cirencester and makes an exciting and interesting art and crafts experience. It features eighteen workers, who create or restore pieces of art on site.

Brunswick Square
Brunswick Square comes as a surprise. We expect a Georgian square to be built to a uniform pattern, every house wearing the same overcoat. Brunswick Square defied the aesthetic of the time.

Cecily Hill Castle
This is a faux–medieval castle which marks the entrance to Cirencester Park. It was actually built in Victorian times and used as a barracks. Nowadays, it offers an interesting visit for tourists where you can take a look inside and admire its beautiful architecture.

Christ Church
The residents of the newly-developed Brunswick Square had a church built for them in 1822. It was a plain Classical box built in brick and stucco to a design by Rickman and Hutcheson. That wouldn’t do for later congregations.
