Jews House and Jews Court
Jews House is a two storied stone building dating from 1158 and reputed to be the oldest domestic building in Britain. Next door the Court is probably 17th Century but on the site of a medieval synagogue. Today Jews’ Court is the headquarters of the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology.

This Norman fortress stands above high the city and is just a short, level walk from the Cathedral. Unlike most castles it is not just a museum but also the location of Lincoln’s present day Crown Court.
