Avon

South-western county of England bordered by the Severn estuary to the west, Gloucestershire to the north, Wiltshire to the east and Somerset to the north. It covers an area totalling 1,337 square kilometres and is an agricultural county noted for dairy farming. Tourism also thrives with notable centres being Bath, a 'World Heritage City' famous for its Georgian architecture and ancient Roman Baths, and seaside Weston-super-Mare. Bristol is the region's largest city, stunningly situated on the River Avon and the Avon Gorge, and notable for a thriving historic harbourside and entertainment scene.
