Buckinghamshire
English county covering an area of 1,878 square kilometres. Its
proximity to London has meant that it has been involved in many
national events - even the Black Death of 1348 and 1350 affected
some parts of Buckinghamshire. Important industrial centres are
Slough, Aylesbury and Bletchley. High Wycombe if famous for furniture
manufacture, Chesham for a variety of industries, including the
production of chocolate!
