Hampshire
Hampshire is a county on the southern coast of England. It is a
land overflowing with incredible landscapes, charming villages,
world-famous stately homes, forests, castles and manor houses. Winchester,
the county town, was once the capital of England, and is home to
a beautiful cathedral, not to mention many points of historic interest.
The largest cities in Hampshire are Southampton (from which the
county takes its name) and Portsmouth. Hampshire also includes the
New Forest which, despite its name, is one of the few primeval oak
woods in England - it is a beautiful area for a leisurely walk.
