Hertfordshire
Hertfordshire is one of the Home Counties of south-east England.
With the development of high speed trains, it has become a favourite
area for commuters. St. Albans, a thriving market town in the county,
is steeped in beauty and historic memories, having been fought over
twice during the War of the Roses. The new towns of Welwyn Garden
City and Hempel Hempstead form a stark contrast to the many historical
areas in the region.
