  The Pennines

A long range of mountains running from the Scotish border down to Derbyshire, often refered to as the backbone of Britain. For those with who prefer the outdoor life, there are several walks around the Pennines including the full Pennine Way which generally takes several days to complete, while travelling through some spectacular countryside.

For cyclists there is also a cross Pennine route from East to West, Cumbria to Middlesborough.

For The Pennines, please visit Cumbria, Derbyshire, Northumberland, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire & West Yorkshire
